Our visit to Prime Cement in Musanze

Yesterday, Klean NRG team had the privilege of conducting a visit to Prime Cement in Musanze. Our hosts graciously welcomed us with a high level of professionalism, allowing us the opportunity to engage in meaningful discussions regarding our respective activities.

Prime Cement is a subsidiary of Milbridge Holding, a conglomerate with interests in the manufacturing and distribution of construction materials across various regions including Angola, the United Arab Emirates, Rwanda, and South Africa. The state-of-the-art facility boasts an annual production capacity of 600,000 tonnes, with plans in place to increase this to 1.2 million tonnes over the next two years.

Utilizing cutting-edge technology, Prime Cement has incorporated the latest advancements to streamline their operations and enhance overall efficiency. Noteworthy examples include the vertical grinding mill, a revolutionary technology sourced from Germany, specifically designed to minimize power consumption and optimize energy efficiency.

We have been presented with a valuable opportunity to design and implement a 5MW solar photovoltaic system for installation at Prime Cement. We are confident that this initiative will have a significant positive impact on the environment, reflecting the shared commitment of both our organizations towards addressing global climate change.
