6 years of Klean NRG: from Vision to Impact

Today, we celebrate 6 years of Klean NRG Ltd.
Founded on April 1st, 2020, in the midst of a global pandemic, Klean NRG was built with a clear mission: to accelerate access to clean, reliable, and affordable energy across Africa.
The early days were not easy. Like many organizations starting during that period, our operations were slowed by global uncertainty. But our commitment never changed.
Over the past 6 years, we have laid strong foundations for impact:
⚡ 2,000+ solar home systems installed in rural Rwanda ⚡ 8,000+ people gaining access to clean electricity ⚡ 400+ technicians trained through our “Regenerate Rwanda” program (with 60% women participation) ⚡ Implementation of projects supported by local and international partners ⚡ Contribution to Rwanda’s growing off-grid solar ecosystem
As we look ahead, our vision is clear and ambitious:
🌍 Scaling deployment to 13,000 solar PV systems in underserved communities 🔋 Expanding into East Africa with advanced off-grid and battery storage solutions ⚡ Developing solar-powered infrastructure for productive use and e-mobility 🤝 Strengthening partnerships to accelerate energy access at scale
